Our goal is to design exercise programs that patients will do at home while attending Physical Therapy. Our goal is for people to exercise as a regular practice to maintain a healthy lifestyle. At times, patients are instructed to do simple exercises at work to solve problems created by the demands of the job. Sometimes, the patient is instructed to do short, quick sessions several times/ day. In other situations, longer exercise sessions are appropriate. It may be that a rigorous gym program is needed. Each patient is individually evaluated. At the time of discharge, patients are instructed how to further modify the home exercises gradually over time to assist them in the future.
